Harley-Davidson® established the Harley Owners Group® in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley® riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride. By 1985, 49 local chapters had sprouted around the country, with a total membership of 60,000.
Rapid growth continued into the 1990s, and in 1991 H.O.G.® officially went international, with the first official European H.O.G. Rally in Cheltenham, England. Worldwide membership numbered 151,600, with 685 local chapters.
As the '90s continued, H.O.G. hysteria spread into Asia, including new chapters in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By 1999, worldwide membership had hit the half-million mark, and the number of local chapters totaled 1,157. Today, more than a million members make H.O.G. the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle organization in the world, and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Our Chapter....
Since forming in 1992 the Heartland Chapter has gone through a lot of changes, new members, different hairstyles, a new location, and of course, new Harley® bikes. Over the years many members have volunteered to step up and take on the responsibility of Officer positions adding their contribution to the Chapter. When the Fuller family bought the Dealership from Ross Baker in 2002 the change in ownership also meant a change in sponsorship of the Chapter and in 2003 the Heartland Chapter incorporated. Many of our officers and members attend the annual Harley Owners Group® Primary Officer Training to get new ideas and to keep the Chapter up to date with the changes we will see in the future.
What hasn’t changed is the enjoyment of getting out on the road with a group of people who all share the love of a good ride, good food, a good time, and their Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Look closely at both photographs, can you spot some of the same faces?

| What does the Heartland Chapter do? Ride and have fun kind of sums it all up. Day Rides, Dinner Rides, Overnight Rides, Brunch Rides, Charity Rides.....well, you get the idea. In the winter when we can’t ride we still get together for meals, activites, and fun. Our members get a monthly newsletter, The Hogazette, to keep them up on what’s happening and you can check out Clinton Harley-Davidson's events calendar for all of our scheduled activities. If you have any questions, please call the store. |

| But wait!.....There's More! |
What else does your Local H.O.G. Membership have to offer? The Heartland Chapter has an active Ladies of Harley® group that enjoy dinners, movie nights, planning a variety of their own events, and of course....Rides. You don’t have to be in the front seat to take full advantage of your membership. In the coming months we hope to offer some additional educational opportunities through the Clinton Harley-Davidson,RIDER'S EDGE® program that will be eligible for the H.O.G.® Safe Rider Skills Program, and we are always here to assist you in getting the most from your H.O.G.® membership.

Without volunteers, the Harley Owners Group® as we know it would not exist. Chapters would not form. Events would not happen. Many programs would not be possible. In other words, volunteers comprise an essential, highly valued part of the H.O.G.® organization. Below are the Heartland Chapter Officers for 2007. If you just want to ride or if you want to get involved at any level from leading a ride to becoming an officer yourself, jump in....you came to the right place.
